William
M. Nelson is extensively involved in all areas of
accounting and auditing services, principally for gaming,
real estate, and construction clients, among others, business
consultation and litigation support services, including fraud
examinations. He has testified in highly technical litigation
cases involving accounting matters. |
Mr. Nelson has participated in several business fraud examinations,
including identification of the perpetrator and determination
of loss amounts, and has provided consultations regarding
strengthening of internal accounting controls and other fraud
prevention issues. He was on the team that performed the quality
review for the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Mr. Nelson is
a member of the Nevada Society and American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants.
He has taught principles of accounting at
the Community College of Southern Nevada, and has been discussion
leader on several continuing professional education topics.
He is active in the community participating in several youth
sports programs and boy scouting.
