October 12, 2011 – Local full service accounting firm Piercy Bowler Taylor and Kern (PBTK) has been chosen to lead an ethics challenge amongst teams of students from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) on October 13 from 1 pm to 4 pm, and the winners will be announced on October 14 at 9 am.
Led by Dr. Janet Runge, the Contender Challenge was inspired by the Apprentice television show. The challenges are focused around marketing, leadership, management, career building, and ethics.
PBTK will lead a discussion and team challenge around a business ethics case study. The teams will prepare a PowerPoint presentation judged by Bill Nelson, PBTK Shareholder, Richard Bowler, PBTK Principal, and Dr. Chad Simon, UNLV Accounting Professor.
The other challenges include participation from Century Link, Target and UNLV Career Services. Grants were received to pay for the Contender Challenges, and $3,000 in prizes will be given to students.
