January 23, 2012 – Five deserving Southern Utah University (SUU) accounting students were recently each awarded a $1,000 scholarship from accounting firm Piercy Bowler Taylor and Kern (PBTK). For the past three years, PBTK has helped accounting majors at SUU achieve their academic goals, and the firm is dedicated to offering the scholarship for at least two more years to complete a five year commitment with the university.
This year’s scholarship winners are Drew Ferguson, Jake Hill, Meera Kansagra, LaGrand Lauritzen and Kayson Pulsipher.
Ferguson is a working towards his Masters of Accounting and he received his Bachelor of Accounting degree from Dixie State College.
Hill has a Bachelor of Accounting from Utah Valley University and is working on his Masters of Accounting degree, with plans to graduate in the spring.
Kansagra has earned Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Accounting and is working on her Masters in accounting.
Lauritzen is enrolled in the Masters of Accounting program.
Pulsipher is enrolled in the Masters of Accounting program and will graduate in the spring of 2012.
